Fall is a wonderful time in the Eastern Sierras. It seems however it is almost completely ignored by everyone except Fisherman and Photographers. Skiers are waiting for snow and hikers have given up for the season
Many say that California has no seasons but if they ever visited the Eastern Sierras at the end of September through November they would see that they are wrong.
If you are from Southern California and have never taken the drive up to see the Fall colors you don't know what you are missing. Here is a shot of South Bishop Creek just below South Lake near Bishop.
Now is the perfect time to come on up! In the next installment I will go over some of the best places to visit and provide links to check how the Fall Color conditions are.
Remember Snow Flower 13 would be a perfect base camp for a Fall Color weekend!
